I. Intent of the Contest

The Korea Textile and Fashion Industry-Academic Association has been promoting various activities through cooperation with companies, academia, and research institutes for the past 20 years to promote the growth of the domestic and international textile and fashion industries. The '5th Korea Textile and Fashion Design Contest' being held this time aims to discover innovative and creative ideas by inducing active participation of designers in the textile and fashion fields and students majoring in related fields. Through this, we hope to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic textile and fashion industry and expand our influence in the global market. We ask for your interest and participation.

II. Purpose of the Contest

1. Creative Global Talent Discovery in the Fields of Fashion, Textiles, Accessories, and Pet Products Design

2. Value Addition of Domestic and International Fashion, Textiles, Accessories, and Pet Products

3. Promotion of the Textile and Fashion Industry through the Global Branding of Domestic and International Fashion, Textiles, Accessories, and Pet Products

III. Organization

1. Organizer: Korea Textile and Fashion Industry Association (Corporation)

2. Host: Operating Committee of the Korea Textile and Fashion Design Contest

IV. Syllabus of the Contest

1. Theme: Creative works related to fashion, textiles, accessories, and pet product design.

2. Contents: After the first assessment with photos of works in each field, there will be an exhibition of the prize-winning works.

3. Eligibility: Koreans and foreigners interested in the design of fashion, textiles, accessories, and pet products, university students, and the general public (no age or qualification restrictions).

4. Restrictions on Entry: Winning works or plagiarized works from domestic and international fashion shows and competitions will be disqualified.

5. Field of Application: 

※ Be sure to check the “Application Field” column of the application form.

※ For pet product Design, jersey (knit) fabrics must be used except for woven Fabric.

6. Process of Judgment :

- 1st Judgment: The photo (image) of the work uploaded in the application form will be judged without submitting a separate work.

   . Textile Design: 3 cuts of Image(1 full image, 2 partial images)

   . Fashion Design: 3 Photos of Front, Back, Detail 

- Final Judgment: Preliminary winners of the main award must submit their actual works to the exhibition on the day of the awards ceremony.

A) Application form

 - Fill out the application form and email koreatfashion2@gmail.com 

B) Application period

  - From 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14

  ※ On the application deadline, it may be difficult to access due to heavy traffic, so please apply in advance.

C) Entry photo specifications and production guidelines

  - Plane: Enter 1 full cut, 2 partial cuts, and 3 total images (photos) of the work in the relevant area of the application form

 - Three-dimensional: Enter the image (photo) of the front, side, and back cuts of the work in the relevant area of the application form

  - Image (photo) resolution: 300dpi, size: 18cm*25cm (horizontal*vertical)

  ※ The application form must be converted to PDF and send before the application deadline.

  ※ The file name must be “The 4th Contest Entry Form_Application Field_Name”

E) Reception fee

  ※ Works for which payment has not been confirmed are excluded from the evaluation

  ※ The application fee is non-refundable

9. Winner Announcement

  - Announcement of preliminary winners and winners of the main prize: Scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024

※ Announcement on the website of the Korea Textile and Fashion Industry-Academic Association (www.textilefashion.co.kr)

- Announcement of the main prize: Scheduled for announcement on-site in the afternoon after the physical examination and exhibition on Tuesday, December 17, 2024

  ※ The date of announcement of the winners may change depending on the judging situation. For more information, see the website.

10. Scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 (only for preliminary winners of the main prize)

  - Awards Ceremony: Scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024

  - Venue: 5th floor, Dongdaemun DDP Fashion Mall (to be announced later)

  ※ Certificates will be sent by e-mail to winners other than the main prize.

V. Awards and Prizes

※ Prize Winners: Participation in exhibitions and awards ceremonies, as well as online exhibition opportunities on the website

※ Precautions

• Preliminary winners of the main award must submit their actual work to the exhibition on the day of the awards ceremony, otherwise, the award will be canceled.

• The contents of the award and the number of awardees may change depending on the operation of the contest.

• The application form is not returned at all, and the copyright and ownership of the images for the winning works belong to the association, the organizer of the contest.

• The submitted works are limited to unpublished works at home and abroad and must be pure creations that do not infringe on the rights of others.

• Prizes will be revoked for works that have won other contests with the same work, plagiarism, and copyright infringement.

• Works that deviate from the standards and forms specified in this guideline will be excluded from the evaluation.

• The schedule and contents may be adjusted according to the progress of the contest, and all notices related to the contest will be announced on the 'Korea Textile and Fashion Industry-Academic Association website.
